Clarens Craft Beer Festival

Clarens Craft Beer FestivalFriday 22 Feb 2013 - Saturday 23 Feb 2013

What: The Third Annual Clarens Craft Beer Festival

Where: Clarens Village Square, Clarens, Free State

Following the success of the first two festivals, the Clarens Beer Festival is pleased to announce its return in 2013: bigger and better than ever. Featuring over 80 beers and ciders from more than 20 of the best craft breweries in the country, visitors can look forward to an incredible variety of award-winning ales, stouts and lagers.

This year – as in previous years – the Clarens Craft Beer Festival will once again be sponsored by The South African Breweries (SAB), who brings their expertise to the table to help judge the Festivals’ best beers.

Previously only held over one day, the Festival has grown to a three-day event this year, with the third day being dedicated to take-away sales only.

So if you love beer – or are still developing a taste for it – come and join us in Clarens and take advantage of the spectacular mountain setting, sunny skies, and excellent beer.

Entrance is by ticket only, starting at R65 for the Friday or R120 for both Friday and Saturday. This includes a free commemorative beer glass and the first three tasters, after which tasters and beers will need to be paid for. The number of visitors has been limited to ensure that everyone will be able to sample the beers they want and move around with ease. Sufficient accommodation, restaurants and additional activities are available to visit.

Local restaurants will ensure that delicious snacks and meals are on hand to compliment the beers. Three boutique wineries will also be offering those in need of an alternative their fine wares. Local musicians will entertain the visitors throughout the Festival, and a separate play area for kids is provided.
